learning that it really isn't about me...and maybe that defeats the purpose of this.

Disney Phase

Most little girls have a Disney Phase, Ariel swimsuits and rehearsal nightgowns, Mulan pillows -- you know the deal.
Well, I didn't go through the phase that heavily. I mean I watched the movies of course but I never really did the "Mom, I want to be Cinderella for Halloween!" thing.

At one dress rehearsal, (I was the sound crew chief) so we put in someone's ipod to play through the speakers.
Now, you have to remember that were thespians, some of these kids have been raised on musical theater.
Most of the songs on his ipod were Disney or Broadway.
Don't get me wrong - I have about 6 or 7 Broadway albums on my Iphone already, but they were jamming to stuff I hadn't even heard before. So I got a bug. Honestly, I wish you could get a DVD of a Broadway show, (no, Phantom & Sweeny don't count!) There is nothing more magical than watching a live show on Broadway. I just wish I could sit down on my couch, plop in Wicked and watch, whenever I wanted. I guess it would ruin the magic though, right?
But.. they do have Disney Movie Musicals...

So I downloaded about 15 songs of Itunes.
A Whole New World
Circle of Life
Hakuna Matata
I Just Can't Wait to be King
I Won't Say I'm in Love
Go the Distance
Honor to Us All
I'll Make a Man Out of You
A Girl Worth Fighting For
Reflection
Prince Ali
Part of Your World
Kiss the Girl
Under the Sea

AND I LOVE TO LISTEN TO THEM.
In the car, while doing homework,..while blogging...when I'm getting ready. ALL THE TIME.

They're so fun, and kind of Inspirational. The last couple of weeks I've watched Hercules, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Aladdin, Pocohontas, Little Mermaid, and. All on youtube (because, we don't have a VCR anymore).

It's great, and I feel somewhat like a kid again.
But I do have to say...Little Mermaid is my favorites.

I didn't get all the licensed character products, but I did love the soundtracks. If you have a library card, you can go to the Fort Bend Libraries website and request to borrow CDs, and they'll email you when they're ready to be picked up at your preferred location. I'm always getting stuff for the bebe.
