Walking home with my neighbor, I saw the two loquat trees next to his house(that used to be ours).
ME: Hey, can I have one of those loquats??
JEREK: Uhh...sure.
ME: Awesome, thanks!!
I was so excited to get one, I'm not sure why. It kinda reminded me of the olden days(for me.)
In "the olden days" when we were outside with our friends we would get hungry. We wouldn't have to go inside because there were two big loquat trees right there. How convenient is that?
And boy, those loquats taste exactly how I remembered....mMmm.. delicious!!

I've seen those pretty fruit-laden trees around but did not know the name and who knew it would taste good??
Isn't that where you guys found Jack? ...Swinging around, all alone in a Loquat tree, beating his chest and screaming and whooping?
Aren't loquats like little oranges that you eat the peel and all?
Ahh, the good old days.
The Spanish word for loquat is níspero. It's a cousin to the pear. No peeling necessary. BTW - when we lived next door and I ate them, it had the same effect as Super Dieter's Tea. Maybe it was the insecticide sprayed on them every few weeks.
